First blog post

I’ve procrastinated for a while now on making this blog a reality. On July 12, 2017 I’ve officially tackled something on my to-do list. My dreams are to inspire others to follow their dreams no matter what obstacles may come their way. WHY? I’m young, I’m experienced in setbacks as well as struggles, and if I can make it happen so can you. All we need is love, help, and support. WHY? Those are the three essentials to success. You need love to get you to where you want to be. Whether it’s self love or outside love (family, friends). You need help because we can’t get anywhere alone. You need support because when things don’t go as planned you need others to support your bounce back. My favorite scripture Phillipians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Dreams are REAL, all you have to do is just believe and have a little faith. If I can do it, so can you.

You Can Make It

There comes a time when your world seems to alter itself from the joy and happiness you are familiar with. Every where you turn something is going wrong. You think it is only happening to you, and you feel all alone. God has the ability to make us uncomfortable with our life so that He can make it incredible. The process of getting to your breakthrough is hard, you feel like giving up on everything including yourself. It’s a mental battle within yourself and you are not sure if you will win. Your faith starts to waiver with God, you question whether He will bring you through this. You ask yourself why would He even put you in the situation. I’m here to tell you to hold on a little longer, it’s all worth it in the end. You will be amazed at how bright your future will be once the storm passes.. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:29-31). If He brought you to it, it’s for a reason and He will bring you through it. Pray more gab you worry, all it takes is faith of a mustard seed. Soon as you give it all to Him, He will brighten your pathway. You will see later WHY you went through what you did. You will nothing but praise on your lips once you realize what God was doing just for YOU.

So, What Now?

Ever been through something so drastic and then you find yourself asking, “what now?” What do I do next? Where do I go from here? You are stuck, numb, and confused. You don’t know what to make of your life or the situation anymore. You want to give up on yourself and everything that matters, including giving up on life. But, there is a way out, in that moment you don’t see it, but there is always a way. You will make it, the important thing is to not give up. NEVER GIVE UP! Whatever the situation or circumstances, God brought you to it for a reason, WE have the power to let it make or break us. We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for, we must find and use that strength to lift our heads up and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t get up and make a run for it, take your time so that when you make it to the end, everything is clear and conscious. During times of hardship we often can’t see things for what they are, we don’t see enough or we make them more than what they are. Instead of giving ourselves time to process all factors, we go with our unclear state of mind and we make our situation worse than it was in the beginning. It’s human nature to worry, but it is also a lack of faith in God. Showing Him that we don’t trust Him to bring us through this, because we can’t understand why He put us in the situation to begin with. He has His reasons, and who are we to question Him. The situation is a test of many things, but the important two are: trusting Him, and acknowledging our strength. (Isaiah 26:3)  “You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.” So, what now? You dust yourself off, you stay focused on reaching the light, one situation at a time you handle any problems that are blocking your vision, trusting that God will bring you out better, and that peace will be waiting on the other side.

Moving On..

When life lands you at a crossroads you only have TWO options to get through the situation: together or alone, but either way you have to move on. It’s always a plus to have someone by your side, but sometimes the journey God has for you, only includes you. It sucks and it hurts to even have that thought cross your mind, but at some point you’ll realize it was all for a reason. They could be a distraction to your success, but you are too blind by love to see reality. God will put you to the test at the most unthinkable time and you have to make a decision. If you choose you, that’s okay. He WILL see you through the heartbreak and heartache. It WILL get easier day after day. You WILL be stronger than ever in the end. On the other hand, they say two is always better than one; if one falls the other is there to pick them up. Make the journey more pleasurable and keep you at ease by simply having a shoulder to lean on. Dividing the load so there’s not so much on your shoulder, but an extra shoulder to help balance the situation out, making it bareable. So what do you do?? (Philippians 4:8) “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.” You analyze how BOTH situations would turn out in the LONGRUN not just in the moment. Often that’s where we go wrong in life making permanent decisions based off temporary situations. Take your time, give yourself some space to really think about what is BEST for YOUR life. If it’s to tackle life by yourself then do it, do not think of yourself as selfish. Sometimes we have to be in order to get things done. However, if you choose together, then you MUST be on one accord. Even the smallest sight of confusion can destroy what was in the process of being built. If you choose together be sure that they are really for you and your success and vice versa.

Am I Who I Want To Be?

As a child we grow up idolizing people, celebrities more than anybody. We have a desire to want to be famous, but does that make you a genuine person because you are on television and praised? No, it does not. We look up to people for the wrong reasons sometimes. There is nothing to idolize from seeing someone on television, be inspired by what they stand for, understand their purpose, and recognize what they are doing for others in ways of giving back. If you can’t understand that by looking at a celebrity, then you may need to pick another idol. We question ourselves daily about what we want to do with our lives. We constantly make plans, but never take the time to implement them. An unspoken dream is merely just that, however if we put some action into these plans they could become a reality. If we ask ourselves “Am I who I want to be?” I wonder how many of us can truly say yes. I wonder how many of us have the potential to be who we have always dreamed of, but have no interest in putting forth that effort. Is the fear of failing keeping you from succeeding? You will never know if you can succeed if you do not attempt it without fear. Failure is merely a stepping stone to success. We have to fail sometimes to learn how to be better and to gain strength. Psalm 56:3-4 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise- in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” With God in your corner, nobody can keep you from getting what God has already said belongs to you. Trust in Him, take a leap of faith and follow your dreams and let nothing hold you back. He will see you through it. Believe in yourself so that you have no reason not to be who you want to be.
